JDM Vehicle Import Process

Service Deposit: To secure our vehicle import services, a deposit is required. A 2500 CAD deposit covers up to a 10,000 CAD bid for a single vehicle. If the intended bid amount exceeds 10,000 CAD, we require 50% of the vehicle deposit. If a customer requests a refund of the deposit, Beyond Limits Imports will return your money in full, less the cost of the bank transfer, PayPal, and inspection fees incurred up to the point of cancellation. We will assist you with budget options, ensuring your JDM imports stay within your budget. With years of experience and knowledge, we provide different insights and opinions on vehicles. We would never bid on a vehicle that would not pass for BC inspection, and we strive for full transparency. 

Once we decide on a set budget and the vehicle you wish to import, we narrow down the search criteria, such as paint color, interior color, and all the options you desire, aiming to meet all your requirements and go above and beyond. 

Every vehicle we bid on receives a comprehensive auction sheet translation to help you better understand the vehicles. We can provide further pictures on the vehicles throughout the import process, especially when pictures from auction houses aren't readily available. From then on, we ensure you know what you are bidding on, as full transparency is our goal. You will be updated with all information on the vehicles prior to bidding. 

The next step is to bid on the vehicle of your choice, within your budget, and work together to successfully purchase your vehicle!

Once we successfully bid on and purchase a vehicle, the vehicle enters the import process and is transferred to the shipping port in Japan. If there are any oil leaks on the vehicle before shipping, these must be fixed, as vehicles cannot be shipped overseas. Additional costs may incur in such cases, but we offer vehicle import services to fix cars in Japan beforehand. Lowered vehicles may also lead to extra costs if they cannot be loaded onto RoRo shipping, which would need to be addressed prior to shipping. While we ideally want to avoid these situations, we have established plans to ensure everything works smoothly for you! We will arrange shipping for your vehicle via RoRo and handle all necessary documentation in Japan to make the vehicle importable to Canada. Once the vehicle arrives at your chosen port, we can assist with delivery either locally in Vancouver or to Vancouver Island. Delivery costs are included in our premium package, along with all additional requirements, ensuring no surprise expenses besides tax. With our premium package, we also conduct a thorough vehicle inspection, making your JDM imports fully registrable in BC.
